Established in 1960
Ray Collier, the first locksmith in the family, owned and operated E&E Key at North and Wells in the 1960s. His son, John, began working with him when he was 10 years old because Ray figured learning how to be a locksmith was better for John than watching cartoons. John went on to work at almost all of the major locksmith companies in Chicago. In the 80′s he operated out of a van and an office but it wasn’t until 1988 that he started running it under the Collier name.
He opened his first store in August of 1991.
