Collier Lock & Security is a locksmith business at 6142 N. Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Ray Collier, the first locksmith in the family, owned and operated E&E Key at North and Wells in the 1960s. His son, John, began working with him when he was 10 years old because Ray figured learning how to be a locksmith was better for John than watching cartoons. John went on to work almost all of the major companies in the field in Chicago. (Including such places as Bullis, Dexter and the Security Shop when it was run by Ben Bland.) In the 80’s he operated out of a van and an office but it wasn’t until 1988 that he started running it under the Collier name.

Our first store, at 6142 N Clark, was opened for retail business in August of 1991. Amazingly, after moving to a store on Broadway for 8 years and then another Clark street store we moved back into our original space in 2005. The Collier siblings (Jeff, Jon, and Ashley) have all worked at the company at various points with Jeff currently acting as COO/VP. Ashley and Jon are finishing college and you may encounter them answering the phones or assisting during the summer with larger installations.

We are proud of our service to our community and proud that we have built up a loyal group of customers including: the owners of local fast food franchises (they start with McD), hospitals, retirement homes, schools, churches, and countless local residents and small businesses in Chicago.
